  Bazhen Decoction "Zhengti Lei Yao" (tonic agent: Qi replenishing)

  [Composition] Angelica sinensis (mixed with wine) 10g, Ligusticum chuanxiong 5g, white peony 8g, Rehmannia glutinosa (mixed with wine) 15g, ginseng 3g, Atractylodes macrocephala (stir-fried) 10g, Poria cocos 8g, Zhigancao 5g.

  [Usage] Take two cups of water, add three slices of ginger and two jujubes, fry until eight minutes, take before eating.

  [Function] Replenishing qi and blood.

  [Indications] Deficiency of Qi and blood.

  Pale or sallow complexion, dizziness, tired limbs, shortness of breath and laziness, palpitations, loss of appetite, pale tongue, thin white coating, and thin and weak pulse.

  [Explanation] This prescription is used in the original book to treat symptoms such as excessive blood loss and deficiency of Qi and blood. The limbs are tired and weak, the complexion is pale and dull, the breath is short and lazy, and the heart is palpitating. Thready and weak pulse, pale tongue with white coating, are all caused by deficiency of Qi and blood, as well as insufficient heart and spleen. The liver stores blood and opens the eyes.   [Composition] This recipe is made by adding Bazhen Decoction with astragalus and cinnamon. Divide 8 grams of ginseng, cinnamon (remove the rough skin and remove the heat), 5 grams of Chuanxiong, 15 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa (wash with wine, steam and roast), 8 grams of Poria (roasted), 10 grams of Atractylodes (baked), 5 grams of Zhigancao, 15 grams of Astragalus (remove the reeds), 10 grams of Sichuan Angelica (wash and remove the reeds), and 8 grams of white peony.

  [Usage] Take coarse powder, 6 grams per serving. One cup of water and three slices of ginger. Fry two jujubes together until they are seven minutes thick, and take them warmly at any time.
