Causes of infertility in men
In fact, pregnancy is not only related to women, but also has a lot to do with men. The reason why many couples have no children is because the male’s sperm survival rate is low, or the male has no sperm. The treatment of this disease is very difficult. The male’s testicles are where sperm are stored. If they are damaged, spermatogenic cells will shrink. So what is the reason for men’s infertility?
Those who have not found sperm in three semen tests have azoospermia. Azoospermia is divided into two types: "congenital azoospermia" and "obstructive azoospermia". The former means that the testicular spermatogenic cells atrophy and degenerate and cannot produce sperm; the latter means that the testicles can produce sperm, but the vas deferens is blocked and cannot discharge sperm.
The causes of azoospermia include the following:
(l) Some people are born without the ability to produce sperm. This abnormality is discovered through studying chromosomes and genetic genes, or is known through biopsy.
(2) The inability to produce sperm due to orchitis is often caused by mumps. Other infections can also cause this disease.
(3) There are obstacles in the passage of sperm, resulting in ejaculated semen without sperm. For example, gonorrhea sometimes causes obstruction of the vas deferens.
(4) No testicles or cryptorchidism, epididymal cysts or injuries.
(5) Advanced age causes the testicles’ ability to produce sperm to decrease. But it varies from person to person, and some people are still fertile in their 70s.
(6) Other factors, such as nutritional disorders, industrial hazards, radiation exposure, febrile diseases, allergies, and bad habits such as tobacco and alcohol addiction.
