The absence of stringy leucorrhea does not necessarily mean that ovulation has not occurred. Stringy leucorrhea is a physiological phenomenon that may occur during ovulation, but individual differences are large. Some women may not have obvious stringy leucorrhea during ovulation.

Stringy leucorrhea usually occurs around ovulation. As estrogen levels rise, cervical mucus becomes thin, transparent, and elastic, forming a stringy texture. This change helps sperm pass through the cervix, increasing the chance of pregnancy. However, not all women will experience obvious stringing. Some may only experience an increase in the amount of leucorrhea or a slight change in texture. In addition, vaginal environment, drinking habits, reproductive tract inflammation and other factors may also affect the characteristics of leucorrhea. Ovulation can be determined more accurately through basal body temperature monitoring, ovulation test strips or ultrasound examination.

In rare cases, long-term absence of leucorrhea may indicate abnormal hormone secretion, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, hypothyroidism and other diseases. These diseases may be accompanied by symptoms such as menstrual disorders, acne or hirsutism. Excessive dieting, mental stress, or declining ovarian function may also inhibit the normal ovulation response. If there are problems such as infertility and irregular menstrual cycles, it is recommended to undergo six sex hormone tests and gynecological ultrasound examination.

Women preparing for pregnancy can record the basal body temperature curve to observe bidirectional changes, or use ovulation test strips to detect the peak value of luteinizing hormone. Avoid excessive vaginal washing on a daily basis, choose cotton breathable underwear, maintain a regular schedule and a balanced diet. If abnormal ovulation is suspected, you should seek medical advice promptly to evaluate ovarian function and avoid taking ovulation induction drugs on your own.
